Reginald Mobley counter-tenor
Baptiste Trotignon piano

Praised for his ‘shimmering’ voice, American counter-tenor Reginald Mobley is joined by celebrated French jazz pianist Baptiste Trotignon for a musical journey through the African American spiritual. With songs including ‘Sometimes I feel like a motherless child’ and ‘Nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen’, they trace this powerful music from its colonial origins through to jazz standards and homages by Black composers including Florence Price and Harry T. Burleigh.
