Sarah Walker returns to Sage Gateshead with her Sunday Morning programme. With all her usual features, a creativity quote suggested by a listener, and her “Sunday Escape” to the more tranquil and reflective areas of music, Sarah is also joined by guests to explore the weekend theme of “emotion”. Her main guest is BBC Radio 4 presenter and award-winning psychology lecturer Claudia Hammond, who will discuss the impact of music on our emotions, and also explore time perception.

Sarah Walker was co-host of the weekday morning Essential Classics for several years before becoming the presenter of Sunday Morning in 2017. With a performance career as a pianist specialising in contemporary and experimental music, Sarah also has a deep knowledge of and love for all forms of classical music and shares her explorations of the repertoire, new and old, with listeners every Sunday from 9 until midday.
