Monday to Wednesday: When we have a concert or gig, we’ll be open from two hours before the start of the show until after the show. When there is no performance, we’ll be closed.

Thursday to Sunday: We will be open from 9.30am (Thursday and Friday) and 8.45am (Saturday and Sunday), until after the show. If we don’t have a performance, we’ll close at 5pm. Please note during half term we may open later, find out more here.

Box Office

Wednesday: Phone lines only from 12noon to 5pm.

Thursday – Sunday: Our Box Office is open from 12noon – 5pm for both in person and phone sales.

Monday and Tuesday: Our Box Office will be closed unless we have a ticketed performance scheduled.

This opportunity is open to all abilities; even if you’ve never sung a note or think you can’t sing.

There’s no need to book, just come along and join in on the day.

Silver Programme Music Festival

A celebration of the positive effects of music and wellbeing in later life.

The day will feature a large scale sing along, mass percussion workshop and exhibitors presenting health and wellbeing products as well as a whole host of fun free performances.

The day aims to highlight the capabilities and celebrate the achievements of people over the age of 50 in the North. The festival will aim to change perceptions and emphasise the amazing health benefits associated with group music making.

Performances from a huge array of groups playing an eclectic mix of genres, styles and instrumentation. The performances will highlight the amazing level of ability and skill amongst the participants. All groups are part of Sage Gateshead’s, Silver Programme; A community music programme that aims to engage people over the age of 50 in fun and informative daytime sessions.

Sunday 7 July

12.30pm, Concourse: Fretted Instruments (No ticket required)

2pm, Northern Rock Foundation Hall: Vocal Concert

3.45pm, The Barbour Room: Fretted Instruments

5.35pm, Concourse: Mass Sing (No ticket required)

6.15pm, Sage Two: Finale Performances
