Jambone Open Workshop

Children-and-Young-People

Tuesday 6 April 4pm – 5pm

Do you know a young person (aged 10 – 18) who loves jazz music?

The Young Musicians Programme is looking for young people who are interested in being part of Jambone or Jazz Attack – our Jazz youth and training ensembles.

Come and chat to Musical Director Paul Edis about Jambone and find out about the band, who they are, what they play, and where they play it! Whatever your instrument or previous experience, during the workshop you’ll learn a melody and some fundamental jazz concepts to develop your playing and creativity as a musician.

You can read more about Jambone here and you can read about our jazz training ensemble, Jazz Attack here.

> To sign up, please click here to complete this short form.

The workshop will take place on Zoom, we will be in touch after you have signed up to confirm consent.

You can apply for bursary funding for most of our programmes. Many young people don’t have to pay any fees at all. Last year families received over £200,000 in bursaries, and we have links with several partner organisations who can support you too. You can find out more, along with links to information on all the programmes on the front page of our website – www.sagegateshead.com/ymp
