Beyond Albedo
Beyond Albedo are a Leeds/Sheffield-based improvisatory retro-futuristic synth-jazz 4 piece. This jazz/EDM quartet make original music that is exploratory and experimental, but also energetic and danceable. All members bring both traditional and genre-pushing elements to the band’s exciting sonic mix, resulting in a sound that draws from the jazz tradition while pushing it in exciting new directions.
Following a successful EP launch gig, they have recently performed a prime slot at Lancaster Jazz Festival to a full house and been selected on the latest Northern Line Roster by Jazz North. They have been well-reviewed by the esteemed Now Then magazine, with their track, ‘Cosmic Lighthouse’ being described as ‘surveying the deserted monuments of ancient alien empires, […] to pulsing sci-fi electronica, synths now driving the piece with bold, saw-toothed vitality’.
