Consult a leading literary agent in a 10-minute session run by the Curtis Brown 120 Agents. Whether it’s feedback on a pitch, industry tips or simply finding out what a literary agent is, take the opportunity to get some personalised advice from agents at the forefront of international publishing. Limited spaces available.

Lisa Babalis, Becky Brown, Lucy Morris and Norah Perkins are the Curtis Brown 120 team, working on a year-long programme to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the literary department of the agency. They are all passionate about finding and developing writing talent and as part of the Curtis Brown 120 celebrations they launched a First Novel Prize with the aim of supporting new authors through the process of finishing a debut novel.

Lisa is an editorial consultant to the book department at Curtis Brown and is building a children’s book list, with a special focus on middle grade and YA writers.

Becky is a literary agent in Curtis Brown’s Heritage department. She has worked at several agencies and publishing houses, including Bloomsbury, AM Heath and Pan Macmillan, and loves old books (and timeless writing!) of all varieties.

Lucy represents a range of upmarket commercial and reading group fiction, narrative non-fiction and memoir. Top of her current wishlist is a smart, funny novel with propulsive plotting. Prior to joining Curtis Brown she worked at Bloomsbury Publishing.

Norah is an agent in Curtis Brown’s Heritage department, and also looks after a small (but lovely) list of living writers. Before joining Curtis Brown, she worked at Canongate Books. She’d love to find a big-hearted, serious novel about the way we live now.
