Enjoy an afternoon of song and opera with some of the finest young singers in the North East and support the next generation of classical musicians.

Each year, Samling Academy selects thirty singers from schools and universities across the region for a programme of inspirational coaching and performance opportunities. In this concert of solos, duets and ensembles they present highlights from six intensive days of masterclasses and workshops directed by Caroline Dowdle of the Royal Opera House. They are joined on stage by six Samling Artist pianists, all of whom regularly work with the world’s finest singers and opera companies.

Over the last ten years, many Samling Academy Singers have progressed to the country’s top conservatoires on full scholarships and to professional careers in opera houses and concert halls across Europe.
