RNS: Włoszczowska Plays Beethoven

Maria Włosczcowska director/violin
Royal Northern Sinfonia
Ludwig Van Beethoven Cavatina from String Quartet Op. 130
Béla Bartók Divertimento
Ludwig Van Beethoven Violin Concerto
For Beethoven, the violin wasn’t just a musical instrument – it was a hotline to the Infinite. Tonight’s concert is directed by RNS’s leader Maria Włosczcowska, an artist who thrives on collaboration and on musical drama. Beethoven’s sublime Violin Concerto, and his haunting Cavatina frame the fiery dance rhythms of Bartók’s powerful Divertimento.
