Sibelius’s Seventh Symphony is music of elemental majesty and grandeur, evoking the power of nature. Conductor and pianist Olli Mustonen returns to Tyneside bringing a very personal charisma and warmth to Grieg’s lovely, ever-fresh Piano Concerto and Nielsen’s proud Symphony No 1. Power, pride and untamed inspiration; this should be quite a ride!
