 Handel Messiah

Handel’s Messiah isn’t so much an oratorio, more a national institution. Everyone knows the Hallelujah chorus, but if that’s all you know, you’re in for a wonderful revelation – because every note is just as inspired. And you don’t have to be religious to be stirred by some of the most heartfelt and uplifting music ever written. Over three and a half centuries, it’s become something of a Christmas tradition, but it’s anything but staid and under the dynamic American conductor Jeanette Sorrell, expect a performance that brings out all the energy, freshness and sheer inspiration of this timeless classic.

This performance will be BSL interpreted.

The BSL signer will be positioned at the front of the stage on stage right (East side of the hall). We are holding a selection of seats in front of this area to offer the best view for BSL users. However, if you would prefer to sit elsewhere, we believe you will have a clear view of the signer from anywhere in the hall, with the exception of the sides of Levels 2 and 3. To book the held seats, please book in person, call our Box Office on 0191 443 4661, dial 18001 0191 443 4661 from your textphone, or use the Next Generation Text Service app. To find out more about calling us from your textphone click here.
