THIS EVENT HAS PASSED

Concert: £18 (Concessions Available); Live Stream £10.50

Pioneering Northumbrian Piper and fiddle player Kathryn Tickell joins forces with her dad, poet and singer Mike Tickell and her brother Peter (Sting, Peatbog Fairies, Birdie and Afro-Celt Sound System) in this one-off concert – the first time they have performed as a trio for over 15 years. You can expect virtuosic musicianship, evocative soundscapes, reflections on a Northumbrian lockdown, clog dancing from special guest Heather Ferrier and all the warmth of a family gathering.

Plus special guest Holly Clarke (concourse ticket required)

If you would like more information about attending one of our concerts please see Your Visit and our FAQs.

Join us from the comfort of your own sofa for the live stream of the concert, which will be streamed as a live experience from our iconic Sage One hall.

Plus pre-concert performance by Holly Clarke

As well as the performance in Sage One we will also be offering free music on our Concourse before each show. If you would like to come along please make sure you book a table, where you will be able to sit back, relax and enjoy a drink while you listen.

Please note, there are a limited number of tables available, which must be booked at the same time as your ticket. For your safety, we will be running table service only – all of our usual café and bar areas will be closed.

For this concert, we’re delighted that Holly Clarke will be joining us for the pre-concert performance on our Concourse Stage.

Holly, a Cumbrian musician and singer, is a former Sage Gateshead Artist in Residence and Summer Studios alumnus. Her songs are steeped in the tradition of ballad singing and storytelling, exploring these old songs and finds new ways to perform their unique narratives.
