Jazz Camp For Girls
A weekend jazz camp introducing girls aged 9 – 15 to improvisation and experience of being in a band!
Join Jazz North and Sage Gateshead for a weekend of musical fun at Jazz Camp for Girls, an unforgettable first experience of improvisation that will help build your confidence and musical curiosity.
Over two days of creative music workshops under the mentorship of female role models, you will experiment with different techniques, instruments and new technologies and will enjoy small group sessions that create a small band experience.
Jazz Camp for Girls is for young people aged 9-15 who identify as female or non-binary.

Workshops take place on Saturday 15 & Sunday 16 February, 10am – 3pm
Sibling discounts are available for two or more girls from the same household. Please enter the code ‘sibling’ on the ticket page.
A limited number of 50% bursaries are available to participants from low-income households. If you would like to request a bursary please contact jcfg@jazznorth.org. Please note that these will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time and bring a packed lunch on both days.

You should bring your instrument, a packed lunch and lots of enthusiasm!
