Monday to Wednesday: When we have a concert or gig, we’ll be open from two hours before the start of the show until after the show. When there is no performance, we’ll be closed.

Thursday to Sunday: We will be open from 9.30am (Thursday and Friday) and 8.45am (Saturday and Sunday), until after the show. If we don’t have a performance, we’ll close at 5pm. Please note during half term we may open later, find out more here.

Box Office

Wednesday: Phone lines only from 12noon to 5pm.

Thursday – Sunday: Our Box Office is open from 12noon – 5pm for both in person and phone sales.

Monday and Tuesday: Our Box Office will be closed unless we have a ticketed performance scheduled.

Folk on the Tyne: Free Workshops with Emily Portman, Alasdair Roberts, Lucy Farrell, Hannah Read and Jack Rutter

Free, but ticketed

Spend a morning learning from the contemporary folk scene’s best musicians, totally for free.

Led by popular workshop leader Dave Gray (Varldens Band/Katie Doherty and the Navigators) participants will also learn from a fantastic Folk on the Tyne line up including Jack Rutter, Lucy Farrell, Alasdair Roberts, Emily Portman and Hannah Read.

Then, join Folk on the Tyne’s flash band as you open the festival with a Big Tune & Song that has been learnt in the morning.

This morning of music and dance workshops is designed to suit everyone from beginners to experts of all ages (children 8 and younger should be accompanied by an adult).

Music will be available in advance (formats available include: audio/tab/sheet music/chords and music for transposing instrument will be available on request)
