After sell out performances in December 2017 and 2018, A Jazzy Christmas returns to Sage Gateshead for two performances in 2019. Featuring new arrangements of festive favourites penned by ‘brilliant young pianist’ Paul Edis and performed by some of the leading lights on the UK jazz scene. No Metro Service (Friday 20 & Saturday 21 December)

The RMT union is to go ahead with a train crew strike on the Tyne and Wear Metro, bringing major disruption to thousands of passengers on one of the busiest weekends of the year.

The strike means that no Metro services will be operating system-wide on Friday December 20 and Saturday December 21. Passengers will need to plan ahead and will need to find other modes of transport. Find out more…
