Do you work with young women aged 13-18 who have a passion for music?
CoMusica presents a new series of FREE workshops designed for young women who would like to learn new musical styles and develop ideas. The workshop is open to singers and players of all musical styles and instruments. Beginners are welcome.

10 January – 14 February 2019 (6 weeks) | Contemporary Choir
Experiment with singing focusing on popular and contemporary music genres.

One of the participants Sophia, has been attending the Contemporary Choir and loved it. Sophia has never attended anything on Sage Gateshead’s Creative Learning programme before but has enjoyed it so much, she now wants to apply for Sage Gateshead’s Quay Voices. 28 February – 4 April 2019 (6 weeks) | An Introduction to Urban Music
Experience using loop pedals, turntables and creating music in urban genres.

25 April – 23 May 2019 (5 weeks) | An Introduction to Songwriting
Unleash your inner lyricist. Begin to write lyrics and melody and grow in confidence as a songwriter.

4 June – 9 July 2019 (6 weeks) | An Introduction to Music Technology and Production
An introduction to life behind the desk, a taster into live sound and studio engineer career opportunities.
