Trustee Vacancy (Voluntary)

We’re looking for probably two trustees to join the Board in 2021. In the wake of the Covid pandemic, and the necessary shutting down of the building, the Board will have to play a vital role in leading the organisation through the aftermath of the crisis. The financial challenges we face are very significant. But because of the generosity of donors, and emergency financial support from the Government through Arts Council England, we are determined to do much more than simply survive. Our ambition is to take The Sage and our world-renowned orchestra to greater success.
These voluntary roles will require a time commitment of 2-3 days per quarter. The roles are unpaid, although reasonable travel expenses are reimbursed. We are interested in applications from people of all backgrounds, generalists and specialists, although we have a shortage of Trustees who are musicians or have experience in the finance sector.
We particularly encourage applications from minority ethnic candidates, as these groups are underrepresented throughout the industry.
