Born in Tasmania, Katerina began playing the violin and piano at a very early age and made her solo debut at age 11 with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, which was broadcast nationally on ABC Television.

In 2012 she won Australia’s most prestigious music competition, the ABC Symphony Australia Young Performers Awards. Subsequently she has gone on to make her debuts with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra performing the Brahms Violin Concerto as well as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

As an active chamber musician Katerina has performed across Europe and Asia collaborating with such musicians as Roman Simovic, Sasha Zemtsov, Olga Sitkovetsky, Andrew Marriner, Dan Zhu, Olga Kern, Peter Manning and Tim Hugh.

Katerina has lead various orchestras and ensembles including the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony, and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

She is a prizewinner in various competitions including the 2015 Royal Overseas League Music Competition, the Postacchini International Violin Competition in Italy, and won the RCM Concerto Competition. She has had masterclasses and lessons with Aaron Rosand, Glenn Dicterow, Zakhar Bron, Pierre Amoyal, Gyorgy Paul and Tibor Varga, among others.
