Benjamin Fitzgerald 'VII' | Live from Sage Gateshead
Newcastle born Benjamin Fitzgerald is a contemporary classical pianist and composer that brings together the worlds of contemporary classical, minimalist jazz, folk & electronica. Performing alongside his ensemble, Fitzgerald utilises a mixture of transcendent strings, loops and beats, ethereal saxophone and intricate polyrhythmic piano lines, but has blended them together to create a melancholic, trance-like sound in order to create a truly captivating experience for his audience.
‘VII’ was recorded live in Sage Two at our third From the Glasshouse gig – an amazing series of gigs with special one-off performances, intimate sets, the occasional surprise guest and a cosy and relaxed feel. Offering up a place for you to discover your new favourite artist.
