Paul Knox (Northumbrian Pipes & Northumbrian Band)
Paul Knox has played pipes for the past 18 years. He began playing when he heard them being demonstrated at his school by renowned piper Anthony Robb.
Paul studied folk music at Newcastle University and graduated in 2009, being the first piper to major on Northumbrian pipes since the beginning of the course.
Paul has performed extensively both as a solo performer and also in several groups and with many different orchestras and Shona Mooney’s Moss Troupers!
He is a fanboy of all things Northumbrian, especially Kathryn Tickell, Alistair Anderson and ham and pease pudding stotties!
