Job Vacancy: Music Spark/SEND Programme Leader
Sage Gateshead is an international music centre with two auditoriums and a rehearsal space all with world class acoustics, a 25 room Music Education Centre, bars, restaurant, café, shop and public space creating a ‘town square’ for anyone to enjoy for free. Music Spark is Sage Gateshead’s music training programme for young people and adults aged 15-25 years with additional needs. Music Spark includes 3 weekly sessions that support young people to learn and develop music and leadership skills in an inclusive environment as well as offering flexible progression and continued support opportunities at a pace suited to each individual. Music Spark aims to increase confidence, self-efficacy and musical skills as well as building young people’s ability to work productively with others. All sessions are supported by Support Musicians with additional needs.
The Music Spark / SEND Programme Leader will develop, lead and run the Music Spark programme and will support a team of 3 Music Leaders and 3 Support Musicians. They will be at the heart of planning, development and leadership of Sage Gateshead’s Creative Learning programme in collaboration with other Programme Leaders, colleagues, partners and other Sage Gateshead teams. They will build and nurture partnerships to support recruitment and will be responsible for ensuring the needs of all participants are met to a high standard.
