Quay Voices

Quay Voices

  • Age 13-19
  • 22/23 Fee: £435 tbc
  • Bursaries are available
  • Recommended for singers of intermediate to advanced levels who can read sheet music
  • Short vocal assessment required

Quay voices is a mixed voice youth choir. They sing a broad range of music, regularly perform alongside Royal Northern Sinfonia and Chorus, and have performed as part of the BBC Proms.

In 2019, they performed with Neil Ferris and Sonoro as part of a national tour of new works.

Quay Voices meet approximately fortnightly during term time, with a with a full weekend of rehearsals at the beginning of the year, and a residential in either October or February half term which helps to bond the group musically and socially.

Applications to Quay Voices are not currently open – please keep an eye out for applications later in the spring/summer.

Our Young Musicians Programme is open to all children and young people, whatever their circumstances. We are keen to encourage applicants from the widest possible range of backgrounds and access a bursary where needed.
