Jazz Attack

Jazz Attack

  • Age 10 – 16
  • Saturday 1.15pm – 2.45pm
  • Termly Fee: £75
  • Bursaries are available
  • Recommended playing level is around Grade 4 and up

Jazz Attack is your chance to experience spontaneous music-making and to be creative. The band meets weekly and works towards regular performances at Sage Gateshead. You’ll learn new ideas and approaches to improvisation, develop your ability to play by ear and gain invaluable ensemble skills, and have good fun performing music from the jazz repertoire and beyond. Players often progress to our more advanced youth jazz ensemble Jambone, led by Paul Edis.

We’d love to hear from you if you are interested in joining part of our Young Musicians Programme. You can email [email protected]
