FLOW Collective

CoMusica are delighted to be a partner of the National Centre for Inclusive Excellence. Through this partnership we are supporting two young, talented artists to develop their careers.

The National FLOW Collective is a creative and professional development programme set up by Bristol Music Trust that aims to make the music industry more representative of disabled people. Each year, eight exceptional and ambitious young people receive mentoring and training to develop their creative and professional practice. They are paired with a music industry organisation to gain first-hand experience of how the industry works and, crucially, to help the organisation they are paired with become more inclusive and accessible to disabled people.

The National Centre for Inclusive Excellence is working with cultural and creative partners, Sage Gateshead, Midlands Arts Centre, Sound Connections, Drake Music and a range of industry partners to provide local support and work experience for members of the National FLOW Collective. The Collective will also periodically come together to share ideas, identify common goals, and celebrate artistic and professional achievement. Each year, the National FLOW Collective will showcase their work alongside music industry partners in a high-profile public event.

Alumni of the National FLOW Collective will receive ongoing support from local partners and national organisations. They will also have the opportunity to work alongside the National Centre for Inclusive Excellence, to champion inclusive music practice and support new members of the collective.
