She has performed at international festivals & series, and released music on several labels including Birmingham Record Label & NMC Recordings. Her most recent album Breathe in Me was release on TQN-aut in March and featured on Adventures in Sound and Music, The Wire Magazine’s mix on Resonance fm.
Kate will be working on her new project Understory, a dual-video installation piece created in collaboration with North East film-maker Matt Jamie, with new music for ensemble written and performed by Kate with a number of local musicians.. Understory will develop ideas around evolution and ‘evolutionary niches’ and investigate the meanings behind ‘understory’- the low-level plants that grow between forest canopy and floor.
