Days Like Television
Daniel Bryden is a musician, sound artist and writer based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, who releases music under the name Days Like Television.
His work primarily focuses on the themes of physicality and contemporary identity as influenced by the digital world, following a background in DIY electronics, free improvisation, and noise music.
He graduated from Newcastle University in 2018 with a B.A. in Contemporary and Popular Music. He has since been commissioned by the ‘New Creatives’ programme, supported by Arts Council England and BBC Arts, to create ‘Bodies’- an audio piece which premiered at the ICA in September 2019 and is now available on the BBC Sounds App.
In May 2020, he exhibited the written / visual piece ‘I’m as Old as the Internet’ as part of DigiArts Festival. Other recent works have also been featured on BBC Radio 6, The Lake Radio, and at Medea Electronique Festival.
