A unique space for alternative education where young people can take part in creative arts including electronic music, hip hop, street art and more.
Established in 2009. CoMusica Arches created a new space for engagement where young people can get involved with a wide range of creative activities. Initially focused on electronic music (in
particular supporting the North East hardcore – makina and hip-hop scenes), Arches has included everything from steel pans, acoustic funk, street art and set design.
The current programme includes our Youth Music funded Arches Academy sessions and our wider cross arts programme, which includes a range of participatory events across the year.
Participants can also find out about opportunities to work towards recognised qualifications and work placements alongside the opportunity to perform and participate at CoMusica events.
Partners include Streetwise Newcastle, North Tyneside Youth Offending Service and River Tyne Academy.
The Arches programme includes a team of skilled artists and musicians, available for workshops, events and commissions. Please contact [email protected] for more information or to book the Arches team.
