Campaign Donor Recognition Board

Our campaign was launched in May 2020 and aims to raise £1 million in each of the next 3 years to ensure our recovery and a bright long-term future, one in which Sage Gateshead uses music to improve the lives of people living in the North East and wider North.

Crisis, Recovery and Renaissance Campaign Patrons
We are grateful to our Campaign Patrons, Dame Margaret Barbour and Sting, for their support and endorsement of our 3-year fundraising campaign.

Dame Margaret Barbour
“Sage Gateshead plays an important part in providing a varied programme of music and cultural events for everyone in the North East to enjoy and is a vital part of our region now.”

Sting
“Sage Gateshead is a vital and irreplaceable part of musical life in the North East. It’s a world-class venue that attracts musicians from across the globe, nurtures the next generation of musicians from our region, and does amazing work with communities.
As a result of the global pandemic, they’re now facing significant financial challenges. I’m delighted to be able to support their current 3-year campaign as a Patron, and I hope they’ll bounce back from this crisis to make live music a major part of the North East’s recovery.” Image Credit: Eric Ryan Anderson
