Newcastle Chamber Music Society 2018/19
A warm welcome to the 2018/19 Season – six concerts which feature some of the greatest works of the classical and romantic chamber music repertoire alongside iconic pieces from the 20th century, including both of the astonishing quartets by Janáček.
The season opens with leading British performers the Doric Quartet, firm favourites with the audience in Sage Two. Then you are invited to hear ensembles new to
Sage Gateshead and to the Society: the prize-winning North American Calidore Quartet, the young and vivacious Vision Quartet from Berlin, the multinational
Isimsiz Trio with their guest violist, and the newlyformed Poster/Johnston Trio (all of whose members performed last season at Sage Gateshead, the cellist
Guy Johnston as soloist in the Elgar concerto with RNS). The season ends with a flourish: glorious Czech music from the highly-regarded Martinů Quartet.
To book your subscription for all 6 concerts (with a saving of £31) contact the Newcastle Chamber Music Society Secretary on 0191 281 6446, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or download a subscription form from ncmsoc.webplus.net
Students aged 16 or under can bring an accompanying adult for free (please quote student’s school and date of birth). General on-sale Saturday 9 June.
