Royal Northern Sinfonia ready to rock Sage Gateshead with The Music of Queen
The latest event in Royal Northern Sinfonia’s Nights Out series is set to bring ‘a kind of magic’ to the North East’s entertainment scene – and will certainly will be a night to remember for any Queen fans in the region.
Taking place on Saturday 29 April in Sage One, The Music of Queen gives audience members the unforgettable experience of hearing all the classic songs they know and love performed live in concert by Royal Northern Sinfonia alongside four fantastic singers from London’s West End.
Stars past and present from the hit musical We Will Rock You will be bringing a Freddie Mercury-esque theatrical element to the evening, with Julie Stark, Rachael Wooding, Jon Boydon and Oliver Tompsett all taking to the stage. Expect to hear all the greatest including Bohemian Rhapsody, Don’t Stop Me Now and We are the Champions!
Also coming up in RNS’ Nights Out series, which is designed to give audiences the chance to hear popular hits and classic songs with a full orchestra experience are The Cole Porter Songbook (Sunday 5 February) and music from Harry Potter, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings and many more at RNS at the Oscars (Friday 10 March).
