Board Trustees sought

Posted on 16 November 2017

Sage Gateshead is an international music centre on the banks of the Tyne – an iconic Foster & Partners building, concert venue, home to Royal Northern Sinfonia, music education centre, conference and events venue and visitor attraction. In its first decade Sage Gateshead attracted 4 million visitors and created £283million economic benefit for the region.

We are looking for new trustees to join the board in 2018 and 2019. Well down the road towards a new vision, with a new leadership team and some major projects in coming years, Sage Gateshead’s trustees will play a vital role in coming years in supporting the charity to achieve new levels of ambition, a mature and sustainable business model and a crucial role and profile in civic life in the North East.

These voluntary roles will require a time commitment equivalent to 2-3 days per quarter. The roles are unpaid, although reasonable travel expenses are reimbursed.

If you would like to contribute to the work of Sage Gateshead, but feel you cannot commit as a full Trustee, we also have vacancies on our Audit and Investment Committees, which represents a lower time commitment.

We are particularly looking for trustees who have financial, legal and arts knowledge. In particular we seek a qualified Chartered Accountant and qualified solicitor.

Closing date: Friday 8th December 2017

We would like to achieve greater diversity within our boards and committees, and welcome applications from all members of the community.
