Founded in 2004, Sage Gateshead has an international reputation as a centre for combining performance, creative learning and artist development working across a wide range of musical genres and reaching broad audiences.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Sage Gateshead in a newly created position, Young People’s Programme General Manager. Children and young people are a top focus for Sage Gateshead.

As the successful candidate you will have a proven track record of effective management at a senior level in a learning context. You will work closely with the Director of Creative Learning to develop and deliver ambitious plans for children and young people in coming years. If you have excellent skills and experience in planning, the implementation of strategy, financial management and you can lead and develop a team of programme managers to work to their full potential we want to hear from you.

Main areas of responsibility will be:

  • To provide clear structured management for the Young People’s Programme
  • To lead and support a team of Managers to produce high quality creative learning programmes
  • To champion excellence and inclusion
  • To be part of and contribute to Sage Gateshead’s Senior Management Team

The holiday entitlement for this post is 33 days pa pro rata (including statutory holidays).

The salary for this post is SCP 35 £30,536 per annum.
