Actor and musician Sam Palladio grew up in the southwest of England, surrounded by the beaches, surf and wild coastline of Cornwall.
But it was in Music City USA, Nashville Tennessee, that Sam got his acting and musical big break playing the role of soulful, country songwriter Gunnar Scott on ABC’s hit TV Drama “Nashville”, created by Academy award winning writer Callie Kouri and with executive music producers T Bone Burnett and Buddy Miller.
Sam found himself immersed in the worlds of Americana, folk and country and was able to make music with some of the finest musicians and songwriters in the world. Sam found the perfect platform for the dual career he always dreamed of.
Sam has been able to play his music on world famous stages like the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Troubadour and the Royal Albert Hall, play festivals throughout the US, Canada, the U.K and Australia, such as Stagecoach, C2C, Edmonton Folk Fest and CMC Rocks and showcase his acting talents to over 6 million viewers a week on prime time TV.
Sam’s blend of modern Americana is influenced by the folk and rock sounds of the 1960s and ‘70 and classic storytellers like James Taylor and Paul Simon.
Sam started playing music in his teens and later went on to earn a degree in Actor Musicianship the prestigious Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance in London.
His other television and film credits include Channel 4’s/AMC’s BAFTA nominated drama “Humans”, BBC/Showtime’s comedy “Episodes” along side Matt Leblanc, “Runner Runner” starring Justin Timblerlake and Ben Affleck and Lucasfilms animated musical “Strange Magic”
He is currently in the studio working on his debut release set for the end of 2018.
Simply stated, Striking Matches, made up of Sarah Zimmermann and Justin Davis, came to Nashville to play music. Sarah, a Philadelphia native and Justin, from Atlanta met when a professor at Belmont University paired them at random to play for a classroom full of guitar majors. Consequently, their first performance was the first time they had ever played together. The pair has been writing and performing ever since.
Their music represent the culmination of two musicians with eclectic tastes and diverse influences which includes a wide range from Jerry Reed to The Beatles, John Mayer to Patsy Cline and back again. It becomes more obvious every day that they were born to play music together. Their debut self-titled EP was produced by Luke Wooten (Dierks Bentley, Dustin Lynch) and was all co-written by the duo.
Their 2015 debut album Nothing But The Silence was produced by T Bone Burnett. Career highlights include their December 2012 debut on the Grand Ole Opry and placement of their song “When The Right One Comes Along” on ABC’s hit show Nashville. Their EP Shameless , produced by Kennedy Karate (Børns), was released in September 2017 and they are gearing up to release another EP “Retrograde” in February 2018 via Capitol Records.
These releases are intended as a bridge between the two albums, an introduction to the new directions Striking Matches are pursuing while still retaining the bluesy, rootsy core and instrumental virtuosity of their debut.
Sarah Darling is an American country music singer and songwriter based out of Nashville, TN. She first made her name known in 2008 when she debuted the album, Every Monday Morning, released on June 16, 2009. A second album, Angels & Devils, followed on February 15, 2011.
In August 2012, her breakout single titled “Home to Me,” was released after being featured on SiriusXM’s The Highway. It sold over 8,000 copies in the first week of release, becoming the top-selling digital single from a new female artist that year.
