Twice Grammy-nominated Nashville based singer-songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman has truly embraced musical diversity. She has penned numerous hits and written songs for many top artists including Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Neil Diamond, Trish Yearwood, Michael McDonald, Faith Hill, Willie Nelson and many more.
Smash hit This Kiss sung by Faith Hill, was ASCAP’s 1999 Song Of The Year, garnered a GRAMMY nomination and Nashville’s NAMMY’s Songwriter of the Year.
On her 2014 release Uncovered, she rolled out a batch of premium songs that have been covered by other artists but had never recorded herself. Most were top ten hits, seven of which topped the charts at number one. Chapmans’ prowess at writing in a wide range of styles and her passion for a well written song shines through.
Chapman will perform with the SummerTyne Strings.
Callaghan: Since moving from London to Atlanta in 2010, singer/songwriter Callaghan has transformed herself from a burgeoning indie songwriter playing to 20 people at her first US show to a fully fledged headliner who’s toured across 46 states.
Her widely acclaimed debut album Life In Full Colour earned Callaghan a 4 page spread in Billboard Magazine. On her latest album A History of Now, her sweet, soaring voice booms and breaks at all the right moments. Callaghan opened for Ward Thomas and Striking Matches at SummerTyne 2016.
“She’s one of those performers whose genuine sweetness is transparent in her voice and it shines through her writing.” The Huffington Post
