Music to grip the emotions and enchant the ear, full of mysticism and pathos.
Elgar’s searing masterpiece is played by rising star, Jamal Aliyev, who gave an acclaimed
BBC Proms début last year. Sibelius First Symphony evokes with rapturous melody and passion the grandeur of the North; infused with patriotic fervour, the music builds to an electrifying climax.

With the finale we were plunged into a raging torrent of emotions as Piotrowicz directed a powerhouse of a performance (RPO/RAH) Music Web International.
