Film Showing: Transparencies of Sound
A performance by Isabelle Trüb and Niall Brown of Alexandre Rydin’s Préludes provided the opportunity for a collaboration in film and words between the musicians and Linda Anderson, Peter Hebden and Kate Sweeney.
Alexandre Rydin, of Swedish and Finnish parentage, has lived in Switzerland since 1949. He is particularly renowned for his compositions for clarinet. For the last 25 years the Trüb-Brown duo has performed around the world. Their recordings include complete cello and piano works by Fauré and Schumann. Préludes are dedicated to them.
