NARC. Magazine curates a night of the best up-and-coming bands in the North East.
See mysterious six-piece band Shy Talk play their first gig of 2018.
“The air thick with angst, yet there is something completely captivating about them, we’re taken completely by surprise. Fair enough they have plenty of experience but this new found noise is breathtaking” – Louder Than War
Tyneside-based indie rock four piece VITO, have had a flurry of national attention and progress following on from the excellent debut track Masquerade. Keen supporter Nick Roberts from BBC Introducing North East tipped them on BBC 6 Music ahead of their show at the region’s Evolution Emerging festival for new bands at the end of May.
Earlier this year they performed to packed-out crowds four times at The Great Escape. The band were also selected by Liverpool Sound City to play South Korea at MU:CON and Zandari Festivals in September, and followed this up with a UK tour. The band are already confirmed for Great Escape, Liverpool Sound City and Focus Wales festivals in 2018.
Electro pop trio, Shamu, has wowed audiences at Evolution Emerging and Northern Electric Festival, played a sold out show with The Old Pink House and impressed many fans from near and far with the release of each new piece of music.
“They encompass everything that is good about modern day music composition, producing beautifully crafted songs that are unafraid to be influenced by a variety of genres.“ – David Saunders, NARC. Magazine
