Sage Two

“Cool, slinky, and tight in all the right places”. Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show, BBC 6Music

Originally commissioned by Soul Cookers Records for Saint Paul Soul Jazz Festival 2008, this authentic celebration of Otis’ music pairs charismatic Burundian singer songwriter Mudibu with Hammond and horns from The Jezebel Sextet.

“Pure dynamite! One of the best funk soul bands in the world!” DJ Healer Selecta

The result is a truly uplifting show steeped in raw soul and late 1960s RnB (the real deal!!!) that is guaranteed to get you on the good foot. The show list features over 20 Otis Redding classics, performed live backed by a 7 piece band with Hammond organ, 3 piece horn section and 100% authentic instrumentation and arrangements.

“Pure unadulterated, funky soulful music born out of sheer love”. Rev Chunky
