We’re very pleased to announce that Michael Kiwanuka will be visiting Sage Gateshead in April 2017!
The British artist will take his critically acclaimed, number one selling, Mercury Prize nominated second album Love & Hate out on the road in April and May for six new shows.
Following his nomination and spellbinding performance at the Mercury Prize earlier this month, Michael has been nominated for his first MOBO Awards this year, for Best R&B/Soul Act and Best Album.
As previously announced, Michael will head out on his first tour of the UK/Ireland since 2013 next month, his first live dates since the release of Love & Hate.
At the request of the artist in order to try and suppress secondary ticketing and touting, entrance on night of show will only be allowed when valid Photo ID is presented at the door that matches the name of the lead booker printed on the tickets. Tickets restricted to 4 per person/household.
Gateshead International Jazz Festival, BBC Radio 3 Free Thinking Festival and Folkworks Pass It On Festival take place on the south bank of the Tyne this Spring alongside Sage Gateshead’s usual programme of eclectic and high quality artists.
Sage Gateshead welcomes some of the finest indie and alternative rock bands from across the world.
