Lanterns on the Lake with Royal Northern Sinfonia plus Ditte Elly

Sage One

There will be an after show DJ Set with Simon Raymonde at 10.30pm

We present Newcastle indie pioneers Lanterns on the Lake with Royal Northern Sinfonia, orchestra of Sage Gateshead, in a premiere performance of their new album ‘Beings’, especially arranged and orchestrated by Fiona Brice (John Grant/Placebo), as well as material from their back catalogue.

This collaboration is the outcome of a nine month partnership between Lanterns and Royal Northern Sinfonia, and will see Sage One transformed into an intimate space as the band and 39-piece orchestra fuse album tracks with atmospheric soundscapes.

Supporting them is Ditte Elly. Described as having a voice that is “masterfully crafted to be wistful, yet strong and powerful”, Newcastle-based Ditte Elly has been performing across the North East, London and Oxford for the past four years. In 2012 she self-released a 5-track EP, We’ll Meet Again and her lastest singles, I Am Only (What You Make Me) and You Find It Easy have been featured on BBC 6Music, BBC Newcastle and Amazing Radio. Her debut 9-track album will be released on the 1st March 2016.

Then stick around for an after show DJ Set from Simon Raymonde on the Sage One Bar starting at 10.30pm to carry the party on in to the night! | Facebook | Twitter | Facebook | Twitter
