What We Do

CoMusica: What We Do

Funded by Youth Music, CoMusica works with a wide range of children and young people aged 0-25, including those not in education, employment or training (NEET), those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEN/D), looked after children (LAC) and foster and adoptive families and Eary Years children who experience health and social inequalities.

CoMusica also trains professionals and organisations who want to engage and support young people through music and creative arts activity.

Our experienced team work alongside partners to support children and young people in reaching their full potential through: music technology and production; songwriting and singing; DJing and MCing; percussion, orchestral ensembles and instrumental groups.

Our partnerships with a diverse range of regional organisations include: youth and community groups, voluntary organisations, local authorities, NHS, youth charities, schools, virtual schools and pupil referral units.

Engaging in music and creative arts helps to increase personal and social development, confidence, resilience and aspirations. Where appropriate, we also support children and young people in developing employability skills through placement and accreditation opportunities.

Support us

Here at Sage Gateshead, we work hard to ensure that music making opportunities are available to everyone; whatever their background or personal circumstances.

If you love music as much as we do, and want to help us to make sure more children and young people can access music, please make a donation. Every penny you give helps, and goes towards supporting our huge range of music making opportunities.

Thanks in advance for your support
